Rashid Khan, an Afghanistan spinner, has been named vice-captain of the Gujarat Titans (GT) before of their season opener against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday.

GT acquired Rashid for INR 15 crores ahead of the IPL super auction in 2022. He’ll be the deputy to Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder who was also purchased for the same price ahead of the auction.

Rashid has previously lauded his captain, claiming that they had had formed a good relationship and camaraderie ahead of the season. For the Titans franchise, the two will now work together.
