Minster Dhaka batted first and scored 183 runs, a good score on any pitch but especially so in Dhaka, yet they still lost. Immediately, fingers will be pointed at the bowling attack for failing to defend this score.
It appears that Minster Dhaka has stacked its lineup in favour of the batting. Rubel Hossain, Andre Russell, Ebadat Hossain, and Isuru Udana are all good bowlers, but they can all be costly on their off days, and it appeared like they were all having off days at the same time.
Nonetheless, we see the club continuing to attack in the same manner for at least another couple of games.
The batting order performed admirably. In the middle, Mohammad Shahzad, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, and Andre Russell were given some significant time. Andre Russell was unfortunate to be run-out because he appeared to be in terrific form and could have made the difference in the final few overs.
Minster Dhaka seemed to have the upper hand over the Chattogram Challengers in terms of batting strength, power, and depth.
Pitch Condition
In Dhaka, no rain is expected, however there was some dew. As the day continued, it almost appeared as if the pitch had gotten to bat on. This is the second match, so it’s possible that the same thing will happen this time. With such a wide range of matches being played on this surface, estimating a par score is tough, but we believe that teams batting first should aim for about 150-160.
