CGC VS MGD PREVIEW
The start of the BPL 2022 season was a bit of a mixed bag. The first match saw 126 hunted down with a lot of stuttering, whereas the second match had 183 easily chased down. These were matches that took place on the same court!
In the first match, the Chattogram Challengers were defeated, while Minster Dhaka was defeated in the second. In this one, they’ll be competing against each other for the first time. Minster Dhaka is heavily favoured to win this match, according to cricket betting providers.
Chattogram Challengers vs Minster Dhaka BPL 2022 match prediction and cricket betting tips. On the 22nd of January 2022, the match will be held in the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The Chattogram Challengers will be hoping for a better batting display than the first match. Kennar Lewis and Will Jacks opened the batting order and batted with purpose, but they were both dismissed without adding anything. The remainder of the batting lineup appeared to be a bit lacklustre, but nine native Bangladeshi players may fill in.
The Chattogram Challengers’ reliance on the top two players could be a concern.
Mehidy Hasan was the star among the bowlers, with four wickets, although there were a few others who bowled well as well. Shoriful Islam, Benny Howell, and Nasum Ahmed all played well, boosting hopes for a better performance from the Challengers once the batting issues are resolved.
Minster Dhaka batted first and scored 183 runs, a good score on any pitch but especially so in Dhaka, yet they still lost. Immediately, fingers will be pointed at the bowling attack for failing to defend this score.
It appears that Minster Dhaka has stacked its lineup in favour of the batting. Rubel Hossain, Andre Russell, Ebadat Hossain, and Isuru Udana are all good bowlers, but they can all be costly on their off days, and it appeared like they were all having off days at the same time.
Nonetheless, we see the club continuing to attack in the same manner for at least another couple of games.
The batting order performed admirably. In the middle, Mohammad Shahzad, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, and Andre Russell were given some significant time. Andre Russell was unfortunate to be run-out because he appeared to be in terrific form and could have made the difference in the final few overs.
Minster Dhaka seemed to have the upper hand over the Chattogram Challengers in terms of batting strength, power, and depth.
In Dhaka, no rain is expected, however there was some dew. As the day continued, it almost appeared as if the pitch had gotten to bat on. This is the second match, so it’s possible that the same thing will happen this time. With such a wide range of matches being played on this surface, estimating a par score is tough, but we believe that teams batting first should aim for about 150-160.
We’re betting for Minster Dhaka to win. They have the better batting order, and while their bowling isn’t the finest, it’s also not the worst, so they should be able to outscore the Chattogram Challengers.
Minster Dhaka is the favourite to win.
