Chandrakant Pandit has been hired by Kolkata Knight Riders as their new coach for the IPL 2023 season. He will succeed Brendon McCullum, who accepted the position of England Test Coach. Pandit, a well-known Indian coach, recently guided Madhya Pradesh to their first Ranji Trophy victory.
In order to access the huge supply of Indian fast bowlers that Bharat Arun has built up, Chandrakant Pandit will work with him. Pandit is familiar with the abilities of KKR captain Shreyas Iyer because they have been friends since the days of Azad Maidan. Pandit has also collaborated with IPL players from India like Umesh Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, and many others.
However, Chandrakant Pandit will stay as Madhya Pradesh’s head coach during the whole 2022–2023 domestic campaign before taking over the Kolkata Knight Riders before the 2023 IPL season.
