When you get down to the nitty gritty, it’s possible that the player isn’t right for that season. It doesn’t change the fact that the player is one of the best ever or of exceptional quality, and it’s something that analysts, coaches, and owners seek for,” he continued.
Suresh Raina is the tournament’s fourth-highest run-scorer, with 5528 runs at an average of 32.51 and a strike rate of 136.76 from 205 matches, including a century and 39 half-centuries.
Meanwhile, Sangakkara has been retained as the Rajasthan Royals’ head coach for the IPL 2022 season, which begins on March 26. Kerala stumper Sanju Samson will lead the team once more.
