The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has accepted the Pakistan Cricket Commission’s proposal to hold a board meeting in Bahrain on 4 February to discuss India’s participation in this year’s Asian Cup and tournaments in neighboring countries.
His PCB chairman Najam Sethi told media in Lahore on Monday that he persuaded ACC members to hold a board meeting during his recent visit to Dubai.
“It is an important development that the ACC Council will meet in Bahrain on 4 February to discuss issues related to the Asian Cup.
“There will also be no ICC meeting in March. , yes, the cricket relationship between India and Pakistan is undoubtedly important. PCB was upset when it said it happened in 2018. The PCB, led by Ramiz Raja, fought back, threatening not to send the team to the ODI World Cup scheduled to be held in India later this year unless India comes to Pakistan.
Ramiz later threatened that Pakistan might also consider withdrawing from the Asian Cup.
Sethi agreed that the ACC and he needed to clarify the cricket issue between India and Pakistan so that the ICC event would not be affected. “Hosting the Asian Cup this year is very important and it is a big deal for India to send his team because it will clearly affect the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025.”
