IPL 2021 : Mumbai Indians, the defending champions, are preparing for the IPL

As they brace for their season opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Mumbai Indians posted a video of the team sweating it out in Chennai.

The Mumbai Indians are turning up the heat as the countdown to the IPL 2021 begins. As the Mumbai Indians prepare for their sixth IPL title, players from all over the world are starting to gather. Trent Boult, Jimmy Neesham, and Adam Milne, members of MI’s New Zealand contingent, arrived in Chennai on Friday. The Mumbai Indians posted a video on Instagram late Friday of the team sweating it out as they brace for their first match against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Mumbai Indians have used Instagram stories to post clips from their practise session.

An ecstatic Krunal Pandya is seen welcoming fans to MI’s first training session in Chennai in one of these videos.

In another, Chris Lynn and Nathan Coulter-Nile, both of Australia, seem to be in good spirits ahead of the session, while coach Mahela Jayawardene addresses the squad.

The Chennai heat seems to be getting to some of the players in a couple of other videos.

Last season, the Mumbai Indians beat the Delhi Capitals in the final to win the IPL for the fifth time, the most by any player.
