Yuzvendra Chahal is regarded as one of India’s best spinners. In 2013, he began his IPL debut with the five-time champion Mumbai Indians. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him the next year. Since then, he has become an important member of the team, with 139 scalps average 22.28 and an economy of 7.59 in 113 games for the three-time finalists.
The squad released the Jind-born player before deciding whether or not to keep him. This isn’t the first time he’s been let go from a squad. He was released by the team prior to the 2018 auction, only to be re-acquired by the team. The 31-year-old was a strong contender for the purple cap in 2020, but was beaten out by Kagiso Rabada of the Delhi Capitals.

Ravi Bishnoi, their top leg-spinner, was instrumental in the middle overs. Bishnoi was signed by Lucknow Super Giants last month after taking 24 wickets in 23 games. The 2014 finalists would like to add Leggie to the team since leg spinners are a valuable tool. They add variety and are a wicket-taking option, regardless of how calm a wicket is.
Chahal recently gave an interview to his India teammate and veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, in which he stated that while he would prefer to play for the Bangalore-based team, he would play for any team if given the chance. This statement may entice Preity Zinta’s team to pay top dollar for his services.

Chahal’s talents would be highly desired by the four-time champions and two-time Champions League champions. In recent seasons, the team has lacked good wrist spin alternatives. Piyush Chawla and Karn Sharma were on the team the previous two seasons. They didn’t play enough and couldn’t make an impression with the little chances they had. They did, however, have the services of Imran Tahir, a former South Africa leggie who didn’t play much for the team.
They’ve kept all-time captain MS Dhoni, last year’s orange cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad, and all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali this year. With Jadeja and Ali as spin bowling options, the squad would prefer to add a wrist spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal. He has a better chance of making the starting XI because he is Indian.

With Ravichandran Ashwin’s release, the team would benefit from the services of Yuzvendra Chahal, a leggie. Notably, they did not use Amit Mishra’s services, which proved expensive in qualifier two, and there was no leg spinner in the lineup in the low-scoring match.
Chahal is a seasoned spinner, and the Capitals would like to add his variety to the mix as they look to create another successful season. DC would be interested in purchasing the services of a great leggie after keeping off spinner Axar Patel.
