The mega auction for the IPL 2022 season is set to take place in February 2022. After the Rajasthan Royals released Archer, a top-class bowler, many organisations planned to sign him. Archer, however, will be unable to participate in the auction owing to an injury.
He will also be unable to play for England for some time due to a second elbow injury.

He grabbed 46 wickets at a 7.13 economy rate in 35 IPL games. He was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 7.2 crore. He missed the entire season due to a finger injury.
Following a 2-0 deficit in the ongoing Ashes series, England is counting on Jofra Archer to win all of their remaining games in order to win the series.
Due to an injury that kept him off the field for the majority of 2021, he did not play cricket.
