Royal Challengers Bangalore, who will be searching for a top Indian player to head the side after Virat Kohli said that he will not be leading the club in IPL 2022, is one probable destination for KL Rahul.

KL Rahul, the captain of the Punjab Kings and the current leader in the Orange Cap race, is expected to leave his current IPL team next season, according to media reports. Despite the fact that PBKS’ season in the T20 league has already concluded, Rahul is the leading run-scorer in IPL 2021 with 626 runs in 13 games.

According to a source on the Cricbuzz website, he has been approached by a few franchises that are interested in acquiring him. There is still a lack of clarity on the amount of retentions and Right To Match (RTM) cards available for a franchise because the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to declare the retention policy for the following season, when there will be a mega-auction.
