The 2022 edition of the IPL is much anticipated. Lucknow and Ahmedabad, two new clubs in the cash-rich league, will debut in the 2018 season. The big auction will take place ahead of next year’s IPL season — most likely in January 2022 — with several famous players entering the auction pool and many rookies getting an opportunity to play in the IPL. Before the mega auction, all eight current teams must provide their list of retained players by November 30 at the latest (Tuesday).
According to the rules, each franchise can keep a maximum of four players: three Indians and one foreigner (two Indians and one foreigner apiece). Irfan Pathan, a former Indian all-rounder, has offered his list of four players he believes the Rajasthan Royals will keep (RR).
