In the IPL, Mayank Agarwal had the worst season. He was unable to match the peak of 2020 and 2021. Only 196 runs were scored by Mayank in 13 games at an average of 16.33 and a strike rate of 122.50. He was also dismissed from the Indian team following his underwhelming IPL performance.
Mayank was not Punjab Kings’ first-choice captain either. Shikhar Dhawan was initially the leader that PBKS sought because he lacked captaincy experience. however after taking into account the age element, chose Mayank. But things did not go as planned.
