IPL fixtures 2023:Sam curran is the highest paid player ever sold to the Punjab Kings for Rs 18.5 crore in an IPL auction.

Curran took 13 wickets in the last T20 World Championship. This included his 12-3 in the final against Pakistan, earning him Player of the Match honors.

Sam curran has been signed with the Punjabi Kings for a whopping Rs. He fetches $18.5 billion at his IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on Friday. He is now the highest-paid player in IPL history, surpassing Chris Morris.

Morris has become the highest-priced auction deal in the IPL after being signed by the Rajasthan Royals for his Rs 16.25 crore in 2021. Yuvraj Singh was the most expensive Indian player at auction in 2015 when the Delhi Daredevils secured him for his Rs 16 million.

Pat Cummins (15.5 in 2020) and Kyle Jamieson (15.5 in 2021) are other players to be signed in his IPL mini-auction for over Rs 1.5 crore. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the bid race for curran as Rajasthan Royals joined the bid as the price of curran quickly reached Rs 700 crore. RCB withdrew shortly afterwards as RR and MI continued their bitter bidding war.The Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants entered the fray just before Punjab finally collapsed.

Curran was a tournament player in his T20 World Cup in Australia earlier this year.

Curran took 13 wickets during the tournament. This included his 12-3 in the final against Pakistan, earning him Player of the Match honors. Curran did not register for the February 2022 IPL Mega Auction, citing rehab after a back injury as the reason for his refusal.

The left-arm pacemaker played for Chennai Super Kings in 2020 and his 2021 season. He made his IPL debut from Punjab his Kings who signed him at Rs. 7.2 million in 2019.
