IPL live links telegram : Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals says is focused on repaying ahead of the IPL 2022 season.

12 March (ANI): New Delhi [India]: The top-order exploits of promising teenager Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was responsible for delivering blazing starts to the club at a strike rate of 148.21 over 10 matches, were one of the highlights of the 2021 season for the Rajasthan Royals.

The 20-year-old, whose development has been on track lately, sweated it out on the practise pitches of the Royals’ high-performance centre in Nagpur during a recent pre-camp conducted ahead of the forthcoming season.

“I’m definitely looking forward to this season, and I’m quite optimistic about it.” We’ve put up a squad that has all it takes to win the championship. We have a squad that can deliver performances on the field with a good mix of hitters and bowlers, but the most important thing for us right now is to start well and build momentum,” Jaiswal said after an exhaustive nets practise.

“I believe everything comes down to how I prepare myself off the field,” the left-hander said of what has changed for him in the last couple of years, after producing match-winning and successful innings for his local club Mumbai and the Royals. Even when I’m not playing any games, I try to make the most of my free time by working on ways to improve my gaming performance. I’ve spent a lot of time in the nets and the gym, working on different parts of my game, such as conditioning and batting technique. Hopefully, my efforts on the field for the Royals this season will reflect that.”

“I strive to take the best qualities from everyone I play with or under, as well as establish discipline in my game and personal life.” I’ve also learned a lot from all of the great players and coaches on the teams I’ve played for, and I have to give the Royals credit for that because I’ve always continued to learn and develop at the club, even during the off-season,” he said.

After missing out on a spot in Mumbai’s playing XI in recent Ranji Trophy matches, Jaiswal believes he’ll take it in stride and use the IPL to make a case for himself. “Of course, I was unhappy (that I didn’t have the opportunity to play), but I’m excited to use the IPL to demonstrate what I’m capable of.” I’m certain that if I perform well, I’ll earn a spot on the (Mumbai) squad.”

“I am simply focusing on my job in the squad,” the hitter replied when asked about his attitude for the forthcoming season. I want to be completely prepared for whatever obstacles may arise, and to give my best in every match for the team. We all know we’re here to win, but we can only do it if we’re brave on the field. I know there will be occasions when I have to make bold choices for the team, and those decisions may not always work out, but I have to trust my instincts and attempt to control the situation.”

“I am focused on returning the trust that the Royals have given in me, and the only way to do that is to perform and win matches,” he said when asked whether there would be any pressure on him now that he has been kept as one of the three players by the Royals.

On March 29, Yashasvi’s Royals will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening encounter of IPL 2022. (ANI)
