IPL MATCH FIXING REPORT: IPL 2022 According to a source, broadcaster Star wants the T20 competition to start on THIS date in 2022.

The BCCI had originally set March 27 as the start date, but is now contemplating Star’s request to begin IPL 2022 on March 26.

The major auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is over, but cricket fans are still waiting to hear about the venue and timetable for the forthcoming T20 league. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is in talks with broadcasters Disney Star to determine the exact start date for the 15th edition of the IPL.

The BCCI had originally set March 27 as the start date, but is now contemplating Star’s request to begin IPL 2022 on March 26. According to a rumour on the Cricbuzz website, Star wants the IPL 2022 to begin on March 26, a Saturday, so that they may host a double-header on March 27, a Sunday. There has never been a double-header on the first day of the IPL before.

“We understand that starting the league on Saturday allows the broadcaster to get the league off to a fast start with three matches in the first weekend. That would be impossible with a Sunday inauguration. The BCCI and the broadcasters were in talks about it, and it may happen as early as March 26,” according to a franchise official.By February 20, the BCCI committed to tell the ten franchises regarding the IPL 2022 schedule and venues. The BCCI has yet to formally announce the IPL 2022 sites. There’s a probability that the BCCI would decide to hold the complete T20 league this season in Maharashtra (Mumbai and Pune).

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has been notified, and they have nominated four venues for the matches – Wankhede, Brabourne, DY Patil Stadium, and Pune Ground – however the BCCI and the MCA have a difficulty in providing practise facilities for the 10 IPL clubs.

The website also stated that Star has requested them to be ready for the IPL 2022 from March 19 to June 7. “At the outset, I wanted to confirm your availability for the IPL 2022 globe stream broadcast.” So, to be safe, please confirm your availability not only for the tournament but also for a period of minus 8-10 days from the start date and plus five days from the end date, so essentially from March 19, 2022 to June 7, 2022 (sic).”Meanwhile, Australian wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade remarked on Sunday that his role with the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 is questionable. During the IPL 2022 super auctions last week, Wade was purchased by Gujarat Titans for Rs 2.4 crore after a bidding war with Punjab Kings.

“I haven’t spoken to them specifically about what my position would be, but I’m quite comfortable with anything from opening to seven.” It doesn’t bother me all that much. If middle-order comes my way, it’ll be another chance for me to gain some game time and play that role,” Wade stated, according to ESPNcricinfo.

“At the top of the order, I know what I can do.” I’ve been doing that for quite some time as well. I’m just overjoyed that I was given the opportunity. I haven’t done so in a long time. “I consider myself fortunate to have been granted the opportunity to return to the IPL,” he said.
