On Tuesday, the eight current Indian Premier League (IPL) clubs filed their player retention list for the next season. They were only permitted to keep four, while the two new franchises — Lucknow and Ahmedabad — were given the option of acquiring three players from the rest of the player pool before the January auction. CSK has retained the following players ahead of the IPL 2022 auction.
Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Moeen Ali lead the Chennai Super Kings.
The two new franchises have till December 25 to sign two Indian and one international player.
