Dinesh Karthik, a veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman who will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, believes that Faf du Plessis, the recently appointed RCB captain, has maximised his potential over time, which is a strong indicator of a leader.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) purchased Dinesh Karthik and Faf du Plessis for INR 5.5 crore and INR 7 crore, respectively, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 super auction.
“Over the course of his career, Faf has realised his potential as a player. It is always a good indicator for a leader to have empathy, to understand people and what cricketers are going through, and I believe he will have enough of it.”
“I’ve also played against him while he was South Africa’s president.” He was a strategically clever captain, which would absolutely assist, and in the IPL, I believe you need a tactically astute captain, and he is unrivalled.”
In our organisation, we have a number of leaders — Karthik, Dinesh
The Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik said that the squad has several leaders, including Glenn Maxwell, who is the captain of the Melbourne Stars in the BBL, and Harshal Patel, who has represented Haryana. He went on to say:
“Harshal Patel has progressed tremendously in the previous eight months, while Siraj has been one of India’s most improved fast bowlers in the last couple of years.”
“I believe our squad has a lot of leadership expertise; Maxwell has been guiding the Melbourne stars for quite some time.” We have a lot of leaders in our group because Harshal has led Haryana.”
