Ravindra Jadeja, an India all-rounder who often posts pictures of his horses on social media, used Instagram on Saturday to introduce his fans to his “22 acres entertainer” — his pet. Jadeja captioned the images, “My 22acres entertainer #bonding #myfriend.” Jadeja’s post not only attracted the attention of his supporters, but it also drew a response from Michael Vaughan, a former England captain. In the comments section, Vaughan used three heart emojis. Jadeja was named to the 18-man squad for the upcoming World Test Championship final and the ensuing five-match Test series against England in the United Kingdom.
Jadeja has already begun his preparations for the England tour, which he documented with an Instagram message.
Due to an injury he sustained in Australia, Jadeja was unable to play in the home series against England. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, the all-rounder made a comeback to professional cricket.
Jadeja maintained his fine form prior to the injury and was instrumental in Chennai Super Kings’ victory in the now-cancelled T20 tournament.
In six appearances in IPL 2021, the 32-year-old all-rounder scored 131 runs at a strike rate of over 160 and took six wickets while conceding less than seven runs per over.
As Jadeja shattered Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Harshal Patel for 36 runs in an over, it was one of the best performances of the tournament.
