Nida Dar is now one of women’s cricket’s top all-rounders. However, no one in her family would have predicted that she would be in this position a few decades ago. Dar has always had a cricket obsession and was well-liked in the colony’s tape ball cricket league. Dar’s options were severely limited since there were no legitimate females’ cricket coaching facilities nearby.
She was eager to succeed, but what about her brother? Not really. When Dar entered a coaching center, she used to miss weekends since her brother would be there because he didn’t want her sister to pursue cricket. She would also style her hair short, leading many people to think that a guy was really playing.

When she first became well-known, she had to get in touch with the media to make sure her name wasn’t publicized. From then, Dar’s career has been nothing short of a movie, leading her to represent Pakistan and land a Women’s Big Bash League contract.

Childhood & Major Teams

Dar’s family was a cricket team. She has great admiration for her cousin, who was also a great hitter. However, she had to stop up playing cricket since she married young. Dar’s struggle also serves as a kind of tribute to her relative. She has also represented Pakistan Cricket Board Women Blues, Rest of Pakistan Women Whites, Strikers Women, PCB Challengers, Pakistan Universities Women, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited Women, and ZTBL Women in addition to the national team.

Residential Career

At the PCB Twenty20 Women’s Quadrangular Tournament 2008/09 in 2008, Nida Dar made her T20 debut. She only managed to score 2 runs while playing for the Central Zone Blues Women versus the South Zone Women. Sajjida Shah, the opener, was a great victim of her strong bat, however.

A year earlier, she made her List A debut in the Pakistan Women vs. The Rest game. Dar stayed steadfast and unbroken on 14 despite the fact that her whole team failed to demonstrate resiliency. But she was unable in catching any wicket this time.

Worldwide Career

On May 6, 2010, Dar donned the green jersey for the first time. She grabbed two significant wickets in a T20I match she played in at Bassaterre versus Sri Lanka. She only managed to score one run since her batted ball skills were lacking.

She only had three overs to bowl on her ODI debut in Potchefstroom against Ireland and failed to record a wicket. Her batting was also not utilized. She participated in the gold-medal winning Pakistani team at the 2010 Asian Games. She has also participated in the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 as well as the 2018 Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup.

Statistics & Data

She has 927 runs scored at an average of almost 15 and a strike rate of 60 in 74 ODI games. In addition, she has taken 68 wickets. In ODI cricket, she has four fifty-plus scores and two four-wicket hauls. She has played in 98 T20I matches, scoring 1086 runs at a similar average and taking 92 wickets.
