The Delhi Capitals players who travelled to England with the Indian Test team arrived in Dubai on Sunday for the start of the IPL Prediction Game season. Rishabh Pant, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and Umesh Yadav were tested upon their arrival and will now serve a six-day “strict quarantine” before rejoining the rest of the Delhi Capitals squad, according to the franchise. Covid worries in the Indian camp forced the cancellation of India’s fifth and final Test against England in Manchester.
“The Delhi Capitals players who were part of the Indian squad for the Test series against England arrived safely in Dubai on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 for the second half of the VIVO IPL prediction toss,” the team tweeted.
“Covid-19 tests were conducted on Rishabh Pant, R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and Umesh Yadav upon their arrival in Dubai.”
The seven players that arrived from England will be tested three times while in quarantine, according to the Delhi Capitals.
