Prediction for today cricket match : Mark Wood has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 season by the Lucknow Super Giants.

After suffering an elbow injury during the first Test against the West Indies in North Sound last week, England speed bowler Mark Wood will not be part of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) roster for the forthcoming IPL 2022 season.

According to ESPNcricinfo, the England Cricket Board informed the LSG franchise of Wood’s situation (ECB). It was established that he is unable to bowl, and that any more aggravation would only harm him in the long run.

LSG has yet to find a suitable substitute for the right-arm quick. After being purchased by INR 7.5 crores in the IPL 2022 super auction, Wood was expected to be a key component in the new franchise’s bowling assault. Regrettably, he will have to wait before returning to cricket.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul, the franchise captain, has intensified his preparations ahead of the season. The LSG will debut with the Gujarat Titans (GT), who were both introduced to the league this year.

“The following two months will be unforgettable. Working with all of the guys is going to be a lot of fun. We’re all going to attempt to work together in order to win.”

“As a new franchise, the new season provides us with a fantastic chance to achieve something exceptional, and everyone on the squad is really enthusiastic to take advantage of it.” In an Instagram video, Rahul stated, “I can’t wait for the season to start and for all of us to go on the field and win games together.”

LSG had already secured the services of Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi before to the auction. They went into the auction with a budget of INR 59.80 crores and made a number of significant acquisitions, none more so than Quinton de Kock, the South African opener.

The Lucknow Super Giants’ team for the IPL 2022 season is as follows:

KL Rahul (captain), Marcus Stoinis, Ravi Bishnoi, Quinton de Kock, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Mark Wood, Avesh Khan, Ankit Rajput, K Gowtham, Dushmanta Chameera, Shahbaz Nadeem, Manan Vohra, Mohsin Khan, Ayush Badoni, Karan Sharma, Evin Lewis, May
