The 2023 IPL season is upon us. However, the return of the Yellow Army to Chepauk after his three-season hiatus is something very special for Chennai’s Super Kings. CSK’s Stephen Fleming, his coach, is looking forward to returning home and playing in front of Yasutake’s fanbase. He believes every foreign player in the IPL has had his WOW moment with his Chepauk. He added that attending the IPL and experiencing it as your home ground is a real thrill.

“All the foreign players are amazing every time they come here! And to play in front of them and have it as a home ground has been really thrilling to play international cricket over the years. Later,” said Fleming.

Stephen Fleming is currently the head coach of the Chennai Super Kings of the Indian Premier League. He was the former captain and current coach of the New Zealand national team. He is considered one of the best batsmen in the history of New Zealand cricket his team. Fleming retired from international cricket on 26 March 2008. After signing his $350,000 contract with the Chennai Super Kings, Fleming joined the Indians in 2008 as a player. He was hired in February 2015 to lead the Melbourne Stars in his big bash his league.

After CSK was banned for his 2nd season in the Indian Premier League, Fleming acted as manager of Rising Pune Supergiants. He resumed his duties as head coach of Chennai Super Kings for his 2018 season on 19 January 2018. In 2022, he will sign with the SA20 league as head coach of the Joburg Super Kings. He is now one of the IPL’s top coaches.
