Sara Tendulkar shares a video of her brother Arjun Tendulkar strolling along the fence while singing “Apna Time Aayega.”

Mumbai Indians, the five-time winners, ended last in the IPL 2022 Points Table with only four wins from 14 games, including one over Delhi Capitals in their final encounter on Saturday (May 21). MI fans were further disappointed when Arjun Tendulkar, the son of superstar Sachin Tendulkar, was left out of the starting XI.

Sara Tendulkar, Arjun’s younger sister, attended the final MI match against DC at the Wankhede Stadium over the weekend, hopeful that her younger brother would finally make his long-awaited IPL debut. Sara, on the other hand, was disappointed.

Arjun, who was a member of the MI squad last year, did not play a single game in 2021 and warmed the bench in 2022 after being purchased by MI for Rs 30 lakh. With MI facing an early exit, many anticipated the club management to give the youngsters an opportunity, which they did in the last few games, but Arjun was not among the final playing XI.

MI made a few changes in the last game as well, but Arjun failed to make his IPL debut on Saturday. Instead, the left-arm pacer was seen on the boundary assisting the players with messages from the coaches, water, and bat changes.

Sara Tendulkar captured a video of him during one of the times and shared it on Instagram with a song from the renowned Bollywood film ‘Gully Boy’ – Apna Time Aayega.

MI brought back Dewald Brevis, a South African youth who was instrumental in the five-time champions’ victory over Delhi by stitching a key 51-run stand with Ishan Kishan. Brevis had played a couple games in the early stages of the competition after being left out of MI’s lineup in order for Tim David to participate. Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified for the playoffs as the Singapore-born all-rounder swept away the Capitals with an 11-ball 34.
