West Indies hitter Nicholas Pooran, ecstatic after his Rs 10.75 crore IPL payout, threw a pizza party for his colleagues inside the bio-bubble, ordering 15 pizzas for Rs 15,000 each.
Pooran had a dismal IPL 2021 season with Punjab Kings, getting 85 runs at a poor average of 7.72, and his performances have continued to be below par in the continuing series.

“Because outside food is not permitted, he placed an order for 15 pizzas with the hotel kitchen,” the local manager told PTI.

Pooran received a shock inside the team hotel the day following the pizza feast, thanks to the rigorous bio-bubble security.
When his phone charger broke, he sought a replacement, which had to be sanitised, and he received a minor jolt when he inserted it into the socket.
“He was scared by a minor shock when he inserted it in the socket,” the team manager explained.
“Sanitiser contains alcohol, and when he plugged it in to get a jolt, it probably didn’t dry up completely.”
After the third and final T20I of the series on Sunday in Kolkata, the visitors will have a day off, according to the local manager.
