TKR releases a short film detailing their experience ahead of CPL : Guyana Amazon Warriors v Trinbago Knight Riders live streaming

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is due to begin on August 26th, and winners Trinbago Knight Riders produced a short film titled “We Are TKR” on Tuesday. TKR is the only club in CPL history to win four titles and to have an undefeated championship season.
The short video will provide TKR fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s adventure, which began in 2015 when the Knight Riders’ Group acquired the Trinidad & Tobago franchise. The film will take viewers on a journey through TKR’s highs and lows.
Kieron Pollard, the captain of TKR, said: “It was an incredible feeling to win the championship without losing a single game in 2020. We’ve won titles previously, but I think becoming undisputed champions and winning one without losing is a wonderful achievement. Nobody can take away from us the fact that we were the first in the world to do this in T20 cricket.”

“Yes, we are TKR, but they support us as if we are a national team, not a franchise, because if we lose, it’s like Trinidad & Tobago has lost the game,” said Sunil Narine, a spinner.

TKR’s Director, Venky Mysore, said: “It has a lot to do with the type of environment we’ve created in TKR. I’ve seen other brands all across the world, and something like this doesn’t just happen; it has to be planned.”

Shah Rukh Khan, who is also a co-owner of the Knight Riders Group, which owns the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, said: “I was ecstatic when Mr Venky Mysore said, “We have an opportunity to be a part of CPL and acquire the Trinbago Knight Riders,” since I have a special affection for the team. I like the idea of music, and the way people dance and are so joyful here, it’s more than just a sport. Cricket has such a rich history in the West Indies that the entire community comes out to enjoy it.”

The West Indies’ domestic Twenty20 cricket tournament, the Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20), will enter its ninth season in 2021. On August 26, the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) will meet the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the first match.
