The Pakistan cricket team has announced that Zahid Mahmood, a leg-spinner, would replace Mohammad Nawaz, a left-arm spinner, in the white-ball squad for the series against Australia.
Following the end of the three-match Test series, Pakistan will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and one Twenty20 International (T20I). Because Nawaz has been ruled out, they have made one small adjustment to the limited-overs team.
The left-armer is still recovering from a foot injury received during the Pakistan Super League’s seventh season (PSL). Shadab Khan’s involvement is also subject to fitness testing, therefore Zahid’s presence benefits the team in both ways.
