Before their second encounter against Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians (MI) got some wonderful news (RR). Suryakumar Yadav, the star batter, has returned to the team for training sessions after completing his quarantine period.
Since suffering a thumb fracture during the third T20I against the West Indies in February, he has been out of play. Suryakumar landed to MI’s assigned hotel after completing his recuperation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
MI’s first match did not go as planned. MI’s bowling attack was ripped apart by Delhi Capitals’ all-rounders, despite their hitters putting up a battling score of 177 on the board.
MI was absolutely deflated by spectacular cameos from Shardul Thakur, Lalit Yadav, and Axar Patel. Bumrah, the pace spearhead, had a poor performance, allowing 43 runs in only 3.2 overs. Tymal Mills, a newcomer, played a good game, but the other bowlers didn’t show up.
