Toss winning prediction : IPL 2022 Wasim Jaffer Resigns As Punjab Kings’ Batting Coach, Shares News With A Meme

Wasim Jaffer, the batting coach for the Punjab Kings (PBKS), announced his resignation from the organisation in a unique and humorous fashion, by tweeting a meme of Ranbir Kapoor on his Twitter account. In the year 2019, the former India opener joined the then Kings XI Punjab and worked closely with other support personnel.

As batting coach, Jaffer has been an important component of the PBKS support staff since joining in 2019, when he became the first player to participate in 150 Ranji matches. He’d joined Anil Kumble, the franchise’s director of cricket operations and head coach. Damien Wright is the bowling coach for PBKS, while Jonty Rhodes is the fielding coach.

Wasim Jaffer has experience in the Indian Premier League, having played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the league’s debut season in 2008. Wasim then only managed 115 runs in six matches with a strike rate of 19.16.

He did, however, post an amusing manner of announcing his resignation, thanking both the team’s head coach, Anil Kumble, and the franchise itself.

Punjab Kings have a purse of INR 72 crores for the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Mayank Agarwal (INR 12 crores, INR 14 crores to be deducted from purse) and the uncapped Arshdeep Singh were the only two players retained by the Punjab Kings (PBKS) (INR 4 crores). They will have the largest purse of INR 72 crores in the IPL 2022 super auction.

The team reportedly intended to keep KL Rahul as captain for the IPL 2022 season, but the right-handed batter preferred to move on after two seasons as captain. Rahul will now lead the Lucknow Super Giants, for whom he was paid INR 17 crores.
The IPL 2022 mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, with 590 players up for grabs.
