According to sources close to Sportskeeda, KKR is prepared to make an investment in a squad located in Kolkata. The franchise’s major goal is to recruit local talent.
“KKR are seriously considering purchasing a women’s franchise with headquarters in Kolkata. To develop and scout regional cricket players, they are collaborating with the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
The prospective UAE and CSA T20 leagues feature teams that the IPL clubs have purchased, but Knight Riders was the first franchise to purchase a team in an international competition. Notably, Shah Rukh Khan purchased the Caribbean Premier League team Trinbago Knight Riders.
Prior to the inaugural WCPL season beginning on August 30th, the KKR unveiled the Trinbago Knight Riders women’s team a few months earlier.
