The Events Technical Committee for Tuesday’s Women’s U-19-T20 World Cup has confirmed Yashasri Soppadhandhi as India’s replacement for Harley Gala.
Gala’s injury to her right thumb required stitches and kept her out of the rest of the tournament.
“Player substitutions are subject to the approval of the Event Technical Committee,” said the ICC statement.
For the current tournament, the Commission consists of Sarah Edgar (Chairman), Snehal Pradhan, Sivuyile Mqingwana, Claire Terblanche, Lydia Greenway and Stacey Ann King.
