IPL Career

When he was purchased by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 20 lakh during the 2018 auctions, his wicket-taking abilities helped him secure a place in the Indian Premier League. Despite not having a chance to debut for the blue and gold Mumbai Indians, the pacer learned a lot from the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga. Mohsin Khan impressed the owners enough in the domestic circuit with the Mumbai Indians nets to secure another IPL deal for the 2020 season. This season, the Uttar Pradesh native is expected to make his IPL debut.

Background

Mohsin Khan was born in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, on July 15, 1998. He is the new pace phenomenon to emerge from Uttar Pradesh, a state that has produced players such as Praveen Kumar, RP Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and, more recently, Shivam Mavi. His career has almost been ruined by a shoulder injury, but the rookie fought back and seized chances when they presented themselves, and he is now set to play for the MI squad. Mohsin, the son of a police officer, regards Zaheer Khan as his hero and wishes to visit him in order to get game advice.
