Match prediction 100 sure:Andre Coley appointed interim West Indies coach for South Africa’s Zimbabwe trip

Cricket West Indies have appointed Andre Corey as interim senior squad manager for the team that will tour Zimbabwe and South Africa early next year. Coley succeeds Phil Simmons in announcing his retirement decision following West India’s “mysterious” early exit from his Cup at T20 Worlds.

Corey, 48, happened to be his coach in the West Indies under Simmons when he won the T20 World Championship in 2016. Most recently, he headed the CWI Academy Program where he coached the U19 and senior women’s teams. That year he was part of his squad coaching Jamaica Tarawa which won the Caribbean Premier League title. “To be asked to coach the West Indies team on upcoming tours in Zimbabwe and South Africa is a special honor,” Cory said. “West Indian cricket holds a special place in my heart. The challenges ahead will be challenging as we face off against two teams in home conditions. We must ensure that our preparations are adequate and demonstrate consistency in carrying out these plans to provide the best chance of achieving positive results.

“I am confident that our players are excited about the opportunities both series offer and want to contribute to the success of their teams. I look forward to the upcoming tour and the opportunity to make a tangible and meaningful contribution to the growth of West Indies cricket. ”

The West Indies will conduct her two tests in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe from 4 February. He then travels to South Africa, a tour that includes 2 tests, 3 of his ODIs and 3 of his T20Is.
