Faheem Ashraf Bio

Faheem Ashraf is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented his country at the international level. Faheem was born in Kasur, Pakistan, on January 16, 1994. He is a right-arm medium fast bowler and a left-handed lower-order batsman who is known for pinch hitting in the last overs.

Background

Faheem Ashraf made his first-class debut in 2013-2014, scoring a century in his first appearance. With 19 wickets in the 2016–17 Departmental One Day Cup, he was the top wicket-taker.

International Debut

Faheem was named in Pakistan’s One-Day International team for their series against the West Indies in March 2017, but he did not play any matches during that tour.

He was then included in Pakistan’s ODI squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, and he made his international debut in a warm-up match against Bangladesh. In that match, Ashraf scored 64 runs and Pakistan won with two wickets in hand.

On June 12, 2017, he made his ODI debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy. On his debut, he took Dinesh Chandimal’s first ODI wicket.

On September 12, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut against the World XI team in the 2017 Independence Cup. Faheem is yet to appear for Pakistan in a test match.

Rise to Glory

Faheem scored a hat trick for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in the second T20 international at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 27, 2017. He became the sixth player in T20I history to take a hat-trick, and the first for Pakistan.

In January 2018, he was also a member of the Pakistani team that toured New Zealand. In the series, Faheem only played one ODI, in which he took two wickets and scored 23 runs for his side.

On the same tour, he also played a key role in Pakistan’s T20 series victory over New Zealand, solidifying his place in the Pakistan ODI and T20 teams.
