Nitish Rana, a batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), resumed training for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) on Friday after contracting coronavirus and receiving a negative test. After a positive result on March 22, Nitish tested negative for coronavirus. After undergoing self-isolation following the positive result, he took a COVID-19 test on Thursday and came back negative.
Nitish entered the ground for the first time on Friday after a 12-day quarantine, with an eye on the opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11.
“Obviously, the results of the experiments were not expected to be positive. Despite taking all of the necessary precautions, I contracted COVID. I followed all of the protocols and BCCI guidelines that I was required to obey “In a video posted by KKR on Saturday, Nitish said.

The KKR batsman, who had recently recovered from the coronavirus, advised everyone to stay safe and take all appropriate precautions against COVID-19.
“This is a message for each and every one of you. Please exercise caution (against the virus). This isn’t anything to be taken lightly. And you never know how anything like this can affect our bodies. So please look after yourself “Nitish remarked.
Meanwhile, India’s off-spinner Harbhajan Singh completed his quarantine on Saturday and started training with the KKR team in Mumbai.
Harbhajan Singh, who missed the previous season of the IPL due to personal reasons, will play for KKR in the cash-rich tournament, which begins on April 9.
The off-spinner can be seen walking out of his hotel room, all packed for practise, in a video posted by KKR. On March 27, the Indian spinner began his mandatory seven-day quarantine.
The IPL will kick off on April 9 with a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians. On April 11, KKR will face SunRisers Hyderabad in their first match.
