Mohammed Siraj : My ambition is to become India’s best wicket-keeper.

Mohammed Siraj, an India pacer, has said that he aspires to be the country’s leading wicket-taker and that in order to achieve this goal, he will always put his best foot forward. Beginning April 9, Siraj will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. His team will face the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the first match of the tournament. “Whenever I was bowling, Jasprit Bumrah would stand beside me.” He advised me to stick to the essentials and avoid doing anything extra. It’s fantastic to be able to speak with such an experienced player.

I even got to play with Ishant Sharma, who has 100 Tests under his belt. It was good to have him in the dressing room with me. “My dream is to be India’s leading wicket-taker, and I’ll work hard whenever I get the chance,” Siraj said in a video posted on the RCB’s official Twitter account.

In December of last year, Siraj made his Test debut against Australia. He managed to impress everybody, even taking a fifer at the Gabba. Siraj lost his father during the Australian tour, and the pacer was then subjected to racial violence in Sydney.

Later in the year, he went on to play Test matches against England during the home series.

“I was in quarantine during the Australia tour, and when we returned from practise, I learned that my father had died. Unfortunately, no one was able to visit me in my room. My fiance and mother were very encouraging when I called home, telling me that I needed to fulfil my father’s dream of seeing me play for India “Siraj remarked.

Siraj said of his friendship with India bowling coach Bharat Arun: “Arun sir treats me as if I were his son. It makes me feel more confident when I talk to him. He always told me to concentrate on line and length when he was in Hyderabad. I’d like to represent India in all three formats. Whatever opportunities come my way, I want to give it my all and seize them with both hands. After the IPL, there is a series against England, and I will give it my all.”

Siraj responded to a question about his IPL 2020 campaign by saying: “When I first joined RCB last year, I was unsure of myself. However, when I first began bowling with the new ball, I was bowling on a single wicket, which greatly aided me. Then there was the success against KKR, which instilled a lot of trust in me. Everyone used to get together and discuss things like Virat does because the team culture here is so cool.”
