IPL 2021 : After defeating SRH, Nitish Rana and Harbhajan Singh rap to ‘Brown Munde.’

On Sunday night, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in their first IPL 2021 game. Nitish Rana, who has been one of KKR’s highest run scorers in the last couple of seasons, was in the thick of things again on Sunday. KKR reached a competitive total of 187 thanks to his 56-ball 80. Rahul Tripathi, who played a brilliant knock of 53, backed up Rana.

For his innings, Rana was named Man of the Match. Did you know that Rana can also rap?

When teammate Harbhajan Singh inquired about the hand gesture he made after scoring his fifty, Rana explained that it was “for his mates, who love the song ‘Brown Munde.'”

The star off-spinner then asked if Rana would like to sing it, which she gladly agreed to but demanded that Harbhajan also sing.

The song was then rapped by Rana, with Harbhajan capping it off with a bang.

Though the whole interview can be found on the IPL’s official website, a brief excerpt was posted on Twitter on Monday.

The video has received over 12,000 views and almost 2000 likes. Before wrapping up the discussion, Harbhajan expressed his hope that Rana will continue to score runs for KKR during the season, and that he would like to see him play for India in the near future.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will play the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their next game on Tuesday evening. The team led by Rohit Sharma lost their first game of the season to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and would like to get their first victory of the season.
