Cameron White is an Australian cricketer who was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria, on August 18, 1983.
He began his career as a leg-spinner who could also contribute with the bat in the lower innings. However, he has evolved into a batsman who hardly bowls.
He is a right-handed batsman who also bowls leg-break googlies.
After scoring 1190 first-class runs for Somerset in 2006, selectors saw him as a true all-rounder.
Background
White was a member of Australia’s Under-17 and Under-19 squads before going on to appear in both domestic and international tournaments.
Australia’s national cricket team, Australia A, Deccan Chargers, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Northamptonshire, Northamptonshire 2nd XI, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Somerset, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Victoria are among the clubs White represents.
White made an impression on New South Wales at the age of 17, picking up four wickets in a match against them. His outstanding results had earned him a place in the Australian U19 squad.
Debut
On October 9th, 2008, White made his Test debut against India at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. White was chosen to tour Pakistan the next year after having a strike rate of over 150.
On October 5th, 2005, he made his One-Day International debut at Docklands Stadium against the ICC World XI.
On January 9th, 2007, he made his T20 debut against England at Sydney Cricket Ground, averaging 41.71. His first notable result came in the 2007 Chappell-Hadlee series, when he scored 41 runs off just 19 balls.

White is often chastised for his poor form and erratic results, which has cost him many opportunities.
Despite his status as a decent all-rounder, he was not picked for the Australian team because his bowling was not up to par.
Club Career
White was sold to Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League.
In the 2012 season, he served as the team’s vice captain while Kumar Sangakkara was the captain.
On his way to becoming the Chargers’ second-leading scorer that season, he hit four half-centuries.
After the Deccan Chargers were dissolved in 2013, he transferred to Sunrisers Hyderabad and became the team’s captain.
Captaincy
In the 2010-11 season, White served as Australia’s T20 captain. Owing to his poor results, he was stripped of his duties and replaced by George Bailey.
