T20 Blast Prediction : Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the New Zealand Test series, but he is expected to return for the T20 Blast

Ben Stokes, the star England all-rounder, has been ruled out of the upcoming home 2-Test series against New Zealand due to a finger injury suffered while fielding during Rajasthan Royals’ first game against Punjab Kings in the now-suspended IPL 2021.

When he returned from India, he had surgery on the broken finger. Despite the fact that his operation was successful, he will need time to fully recover. As a result, the left-handed batsman has been ruled out of the Test series against New Zealand, which begins on June 2 at Lord’s.

Chris Silverwood, England’s head coach, has hinted that Ben Stokes will possibly return during the T20 Blast, which runs from June 9 to July 16. Durham’s all-rounder hasn’t participated in the tournament since 2018.

“[He] is doing very well. We could see him back next month for Durham in the Vitality Blast competition if he manages to progress without interfering with his rehabilitation,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Silverwood as saying.

“It’ll be a long time before I see you again. For him, the T20 Blast is a possibility, followed by a steady return to international cricket. He’s picked up bowling again, and he’s not far from hitting a few darts. He’s making good strides and is on track to meet our expectations,” he said.
