LPL 2021 Prediction : Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed the LPL 2021 window for July-August

The second season of the Lanka Premier League will be held in July-August this year, according to Sri Lanka Cricket. The LPL, which debuted last year and became Sri Lanka’s first T20 tournament in eight years, was initially scheduled for a similar time frame, but due to several delays, it was pushed back to November-December.

The Lanka Premier League was the first sporting competition held in the island nation after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it featured a large number of international teams.

LPL 2021 was won by the Jaffna Stallions, led by former Sri Lanka all-rounder Thisara Perera, who beat Galle Gladiators by 53 runs in the final match in Hambantota.

Lanka Premier League 2021 start date

“While we are currently working on finalising the other aspects of the tournament, we have found a suitable window to host this year’s edition,” says the organiser. Professor Arjuna De Silva, Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket’s Management Committee, said in a statement on the SLC’s website.

The first match of the LPL 2021 will take place on July 30, and the final will take place on August 22. SLC will make a decision on the bio-security climate after reviewing the situation with the Ministry of Health.

The statement reads, “SLC will evaluate the country’s condition and consult with the Ministry of Health closer to the tournament to determine the country’s health situation before making a final decision on the competition.”

With India scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is from July 13 to July 27, LPL 2021 will begin immediately following the conclusion of India’s tour.
