At the IPL 2022 Auction, Aakash Chopra feels the Indian hitters will strike gold. He mentioned a couple of players who will be laughing all the way to the bank.
The mega auction for the IPL 2022 season will take place in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. While the majority of the frontline Indian batters have been retained by their teams, the remaining few will be in high demand during the auction.
Aakash Chopra stated in a video on his YouTube channel that Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer will compete to be the most expensive player at the auction. He went on to say:
“Because Indian hitters are a rare commodity, they will have a great time. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer will undoubtedly be the two most expensive players at this auction, which includes both Indian and international stars. They have a market capitalization of around 28-30 crores.”
Other Indian batsmen who will get a lot of interest during the auction, according to the cricketer-turned-commentator. Aakash Chopra made the following observation:
“However, the storey does not finish there. Following that, Devdutt Padikkal will receive 7-8 crores, Shikhar Dhawan would receive a large sum of money, Deepak Hooda, Shahrukh Khan, Nitish Rana, and Rahul Tripathi will receive large sums of money. If you are an Indian and you are on this list, you will lose a lot of money. The demand is really strong, but the supply is limited.”
Because of his captaincy skills, teams like the Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and maybe the Punjab Kings are expected to pursue Shreyas Iyer. While Ishan Kishan isn’t a leadership candidate right now, he does bring a variety of qualities to the table.
