IPL bookie prediction : Biju George has been as the fielding coach for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

The Delhi Capitals (DC), the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) finalists, have hired Biju George as their fielding coach for the next IPL 2022 season. He will take over for former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif, who held the post until last season.

The DC, which will be led by Rishabh Pant, has through multiple managerial changes. The Delhi Capitals have hired Shane Watson, Ajit Agarkar, and Praveen Amre as assistant coaches, and James Hopes as their bowling coach, in addition to head coach Ricky Ponting.

The squad, captained by Rishabh Pant, will meet in Mumbai on Thursday (March 10) for the first time, but the captain will arrive later. On March 27, the Delhi Capitals face the Mumbai Indians in their debut game.

We’ve signed Biju George for the season, says a Delhi Capitals official to Cricbuzz.

Biju is a former fielding coach for the India women’s team and has worked with Tushar Arothe, WV Raman, and Ramesh Powar, the team’s most recent coaches. For two years (2015 and 2016), the coach from Trivandrum was involved with Kolkata Knight Riders, then for a year in 2020 with Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also coached Kuwait’s national team in the interim

“We have taken him for the season and he comes with solid years of experience – both in the IPL and international cricket,” a franchise promoter said to Cricbuzz on Wednesday (March 9).

The Delhi Capitals are also unsure about the availability of Anrich Nortje, a fast bowling spearhead from South Africa, whom they had kept ahead of the IPL major auction in 2022. Nortje has not played cricket since the T20 World Cup 2021 owing to a hip ailment, and he is unlikely to compete in the IPL 2022, according to the South African selection convenor.

Due to a national commitment, their other pacer Lungi Ngidi has been nominated in the South Africa team for the Bangladesh series and may join the franchise late.
