On Sunday, Kuldeep Yadav of the Delhi Capitals (DC) received the Player of the Match award for his match-winning effort in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against the Mumbai Indians.

During the post-match press conference after Delhi’s stunning victory against Mumbai Indians in match No. 2 of the IPL 2022, Kuldeep said that Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma encouraged him to do well for his new club in the world’s richest T20 competition.
“It was a trying time for me.” Due to injuries, I had been sidelined for five months. It was important for someone like me to seek rehabilitation, and with to the NCA’s tools and teachers, I was able to swiftly recuperate and return to the Indian setup.”
“I gradually began match preparation after that, and once I started playing games, I got confidence, and Rohit was a tremendous motivator for me,” Kuldeep said.
“I had that discussion with him about any changes that needed to be done.” And I spoke with Ricky (Ponting) in Delhi, who was quite encouraging. “I’d been missing rhythm for a long time and had spent a lot of time working on it, never compromising on turning the ball despite tempo changes,” he said.
Kuldeep Yadav won Player of the Round after conceding 18 runs while capturing three wickets in the second match of the IPL 2022.
