In Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are competing in the IPL 2022 final. Gujarat took on Rajasthan at the world’s largest cricket stadium, which drew over 1,30,000 fans. The matchday kicked off with a closing ceremony that featured Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman playing some of the country’s best hits.
AR Rahman’s performance began with the legendary song ‘Vande Mataram,’ which was promptly greeted by hundreds of thousands of spectators. In terms of the encounter, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat first. RR batted first, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler at the crease. Yash Dayal dismissed the exquisite left-hander for 22 off 16 balls. Hardik Pandya then dismissed Sanju Samson for 14 runs off 11 balls.
