Afghanistan players : SAMIULLAH SHENWARI

Shenwari has served as the Afghanistan team’s pivotal player. It has been worthwhile to track his recent ascent in cricket for the benefit of the whole globe. In his first three ODI appearances in 2009, he scored 52, 27 and 39* runs.

However, the Scotland game at the 2015 World Cup was perhaps the pinnacle of his professional career. He entered the game having played innings of 42 and 38, but his team fell to 97 for 7 while chasing 211. His calm 96 clinched Afghanistan’s victory in the final against, giving them their first World Cup victory. Soon after, he defeated New Zealand with 54 points.

Despite all of this, one shouldn’t overlook his leg-breaks, which are more precise than penetrating; his first five-for came against Kenya in 2013.
