At the age of 16, Gulbadin Naib, who was born in the Afghan region of Logar, donned the national jersey for the first time when competing against Japan in World Cricket League Division 5. Since then, he has consistently played for the Afghanistan team and has made a significant contribution to their rapid ascent.

He also had an appearance in the renowned documentary, Out of the Ashes, which chronicled Afghanistan’s cricketing prowess. In the documentary, it is shown that Gulbadin Naib is an avid bodybuilder in addition to playing cricket. Arnold Schwarzenegger was listed as one of his primary influences.

He is a right-arm medium fast bowler who is known for getting wickets, but he also has a poor economy rate to go along with it. At the age of only 23, he was chosen for the Afghanistan team to compete in the 2015 ICC World Cup.

Given how he has played, it’s possible that he hasn’t even completed one-fourth of his cricketing career. He still has a lot to offer Afghanistan’s cricket and might even help them transition from an ODI powerhouse to a Test side.
