Afghan cricketer Noor Ahmad competes for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League.

He made his first-ever class appearance for the Kabul Region in the four-day Ahmad Shah Abdali competition in 2019.

Ahmad, a left-arm wrist spinner by trade, was selected for the Afghanistan team for the Under-19 World Cup in 2020.

Ahmad rose to fame when the spinner was selected by the Melbourne Renegades at the age of 15 to compete in the 2020–21 Big Bash League. Since he dazzled everyone with his variety in the Under-19 World Cup, Ahmad has been on the Renegades’ radar. The Afghan-born player participated in 6 games but only took 2 wickets at an 8.36 economy.

Prior to the 2021 Indian Premier League, the Chennai Super Kings selected him as a net bowler in March 2021.

Ahmad kept on his romance with professional cricket and was signed up by the Karachi Kings for the sixth Pakistan Super League season.

Afghanistan has produced several exceptionally talented spinners throughout the years, including Rashid Khan, Mujeeb, and Mohammad Nabi. Ahmad is yet another name to be added to the list of top spinners born in Afghanistan. Ahmad, a cunning spinner who isn’t scared to throw the ball, has to be developed so that he is prepared for the more difficult tasks at the international level.
