Domestic

On December 7-10, 2014, Avesh Khan made his first-class debut against Railways in Delhi, where he took two wickets in the first innings. In 2014, he was a member of the UAE’s under-19 World Cup squad. In that match, he only appeared in a pair of games and only took one wicket. Avesh bounced back in the next under-19 World Cup, becoming the Indian pace attack’s spearhead. With 12 wickets at an average of 15.08, he finished as India’s leading wicket-taker. On February 5, 2018, Khan made his List A debut against Mumbai in Chennai.

IPL Career

In the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) purchased him for Rs. Rs 10 lakhs. Avesh moved to Delhi Capitals for INR 75 lakhs after making his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017. He was retained by the franchise for the IPL 2020 season.
