Best cricbuzz prediction: A PAK journalist has taunted Kohli in a tweet that he “bats at his best when there is no pressure”, getting a fitting response from his own cricketer.

Despite scoring an impressive 166 smashes against Sri Lanka in Kerala, Kohli was mercilessly taunted by Pakistan journalists but received a fitting reaction from his own country’s cricketers.

Virat Kohli’s stunning 166 helped India beat Sri Lanka by a whopping 317 runs in his third and final ODI match of the series in Kerala. This was Kohli’s second century in the series and his 46th overall, and he is now just three tons closer to Sachin’s Tendulkar’s all-time record in this format. Despite his impressive efforts, Kohli was brutally taunted by Pakistani journalists but received a fitting response from his native whims.

Shortly after the big century, a Pakistani reporter mocked Kohli and said he could only hit hard when there was no pressure or the series was not in jeopardy, before India announced that Kohli was ready for the next test. Opined that they should face Australia in the series. “Virat Kohli does his best when there is no pressure, the series is not in jeopardy and the conditions are perfect. There is no harm in gaining confidence and form in a game like this.India is coming Australia too. #INDvSL,” he tweeted.

Pakistani all-rounder Sohaib Maksoud silenced reporters on Twitter.

Explaining his view, the reporter went on to point out that Kohli managed to break through the drought of the century in a match against Afghanistan last September after India was knocked out of the Asian Cup.

“Sohaib Bai, nothing helps a player regain confidence like good terms. He was wasting time but needed a match against Afghanistan in the Asian Cup when India missed the tournament, and a match against Bangladesh, who had already lost the series,” he tweeted.

The Pakistani cricketer replied again, questioning the logic behind the journalist’s tweet. If they’re trolling Baber, we all know how big that player is, but please ignore it.”

Kohli will appear in the ODI series in three games against New Zealand starting January 18.
