Cricbuzz player prediction: England announce 15-man squad for 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup

Spin bowling all-rounder Alice Capsey returns to England’s 15-man T20 World Cup squad while he recovers from a collarbone injury sustained during England’s recent tour of the West Indies.

England and Wales Her Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday announced her 15-man squad for her ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa in February.

While spin bowling all-rounder Alice Capsey is recovering from a collarbone injury sustained during England’s recent tour of the West Indies, she is back in the squad. Veteran sailor Kate Cross is the only team member to tour the West Indies in December. England had beaten the West Indies with her 3-0 and 5-0 in ODI and T20I respectively. Seamers Issie Wong and Daniel Gibson have been named to the Touring Reserves for the team led by Heather Knight.

England are placed in Group B along with India, Ireland, Pakistan and the West Indies. She will launch her campaign against the West Indies at her Borland Park in Pearl on February 11th.

England was a semi-finalist at her last 2020 edition in Australia. He was the tournament’s first champion when it was held in 2009, and was also the runner-up in 2018.
