Prithvi Shaw has been called up to India’s T20I squad for the upcoming home series against New Zealand. Shaw has had some great performances at home on his circuit, most recently in Lunge’s Trophy where he hit 379. Senior duo He Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma remain excluded from the T20 setup as Hardik Pandya dominates the shortest format. Hershal Patel is absent from the squad that played against Sri Lanka.
Selectors have confirmed that KL Rahul and Axar Patel will not be able to participate in both ODI and T20I due to family ties. As a result, KS Bharat and Shahbaz Ahmed were added to his ODI squad and Kuldeep Yadav joined his T20I squad.
