IPL 2021 : Ravichandran Ashwin Returns to the Delhi Capitals and Hits The Nets. Keep an eye on things.

On Saturday, Ravichandran Ashwin batted for the Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). DC shared a video of Ashwin turning his arm over in the nets on social media. Prior to the 2020 season, Ashwin was traded to DC from Punjab Kings, where he took 13 wickets in 15 matches. “Roses are red, and @ashwinravi99 is back in the DC blue,” DC posted on Twitter. “His grin will add a smile to your face as well.”

Ashwin enters the IPL after a successful season with the Indian cricket team, where he performed admirably with both bat and ball. Ashwin scored 189 runs with one century and took 32 wickets in the four-match Test series against England at home, the most by any bowler in the series.

In the away Test series against Australia that followed the England series, Ashwin was one of India’s standout performers.

In three Matches, the 34-year-old took 12 wickets and shared a match-saving partnership with Hanuma Vihari in the second innings of the third Test in Sydney to help India win the match.

Ashwin has also been one of the top wicket-takers in the IPL. With 138 wickets from 154 matches, he is still sixth on the all-time wicket-takers list.

He was the captain of Punjab Kings in 2018 and 2019, and he previously played for Rising Pune Supergiant and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The IPL 2021 season will kick off on April 9 in Chennai, with the defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

DC will face CSK in their first match on April 10 in Mumbai.
